Fall Fun
Last Saturday, we ventured out for some Fall fun. We went to the Enchanted Maize at the bottom of Lookout Mountain. Andrew insisted we do the corn maze... fun was not had by all during that activity. Between getting lost with three small kids and Drew losing his shoe and me having to track it down in the maze, we figured we'd stick to the inflatables and hay rides. :)

A little about the kiddos...
I promised myself I would be better at keeping up with this blog. I haven't done such a good job. But, in order to freeze time for a moment, I'm going to post a few things about each child so we can look back one day and say, "Oh, I forgot about that!"
At three and a half years old, Caroline loves...
-UT and "Smookey" She loves cheerleaders (thanks to her days watching the cheerleaders at Uncle Charlie's football games) and she calls them "jiggalas" because the cheerleaders did the jiggilo at the games.
-She loves all Disney Princesses. She could play with her Little People princesses all day if I let her. She knows every song and sings them at the top of her lungs. Especially when she is going to bed. There is nothing more I love than to hear her sing.
-This girl also loves to dance. There isn't a moment that goes by where she isn't dancing.
-She weighs 30-32 pounds. Loves to eat animal crackers, frozen go-gurt, and peanut butter crackers. She prefers milk over water.
-I can't forget to mention that she is the most loving big sister. She is sweet, kind, well-mannered, lovable and amazing. We are so very proud of the young girl she is now.
-She has to have her coco (her blanket) when she sleeps.
At 21 months old, Drew loves...
-To read and watch VeggieTales and Leap Frog (last year he LOVED Yo Gabba Gabba, so I am happy he is now at of that phase!)
-He says several words. Some of my favorites are "choo-choo", "mom-me!", and "men" (amen).
-He likes to tinker with things and figure out how they work. He sees things in such a way that I can't describe as it is so different from how I look at things. I love that about him.
-He loves to dance especially with his sister. He probably won't admit this in a few years, but he knows all of the "words" to all of the Disney Princess songs.
-He weighs 26-28 pounds and loves to eat Goldfish and spicy foods. He also loves milk.
-He has to have his "ba" (blanket) in order to sleep. It was my blanket when I was younger.
-He is a very sweet boy. He loves to hug and kiss and is quick to say "swarry" if he happens to hurt you.
At five months, Jacob loves...
-To eat. He started eating solids at almost five months. He took to it right away. I waited until Caroline and Drew were six months old before I fed them solids, and they didn't really want it. However, Jacob knew what he was doing the moment I put a spoon to his mouth! He opened wide and smacked that rice cereal like a pro! He had had green beans, peas, and carrots thus far. He loves them all. During the day, he still likes nurse every three hours. He can stretch to four hours, but he prefers every three hours... I know this from his mood!
-He is sleeping through the night. He typically goes to bed about 7:30 and then wakes up between 5:00-6:30 to nurse. He then will go back to bed for another two hours or so. (Getting to get any baby to sleep is no easy task! Thanks to Prep for Parenting from Growing Families Internationally for their help training Andrew and I to train Jacob and Drew when he was a baby. I hate we didn't know about this with Caroline. She didn't sleep through the night until 7.5 months and it was all my fault... but that is another story!)
-The first four weeks with him were rough. He screamed every hour for no reason. He did have reflux but nothing comforted him or made him happy. Then at four weeks to the day it was like a switch went off and he turned into a relaxed, carefree baby.
-He loves his brother and sister and lights up when he sees them. However, don't mess with him if he is hungry or tired. I think he gets that from me. ;)
-He loves to smile and laugh. Jacob was a complete surprise to our family, so I always look at him and Praise God for this wonderful, amazing surprise.
-He weighs almost 20 pounds. He is off the charts in weight and head circumference. He is in the 95th percentile for height.
We are so grateful for these wonderful blessings. God really is so good!
